FAQs
frequently asked questions
01. Can I meet my assistant before hiring?
Absolutely. You can interview as many candidates as you like, for free.
02. How much does it cost?
You’ll pay a flat rate of $40 per hour for your assistant’s work. No startup fees. No hidden costs. No surprises.
03. What if my needs change? Am I locked in for a certain number of hours?
Never. Your hours can scale up or down anytime, for free.
04. What if my assistant isn’t the right fit?
No problem. We’ll rematch you quickly with no stress and no extra fees.
05. How does the matching process work?
You have two ways to find your assistant. Quick Match: browse our roster on the website, pick the assistant who fits, and we'll connect you for an interview. Assisted Match: tell us about your needs and we'll hand-select a few candidates for you to choose from. Either way, you pick who you interview, and you decide who to work with. No forced matches.
06. Are all assistants U.S.-based?
Yes! All of our assistants work remotely from within the United States.
07. Are there any startup fees or hidden costs?
No. There are no one-time setup fees or surprise charges. You only pay once work begins.
08. Is there a minimum number of hours per week/month?
No minimums. You decide how many hours you need and can scale up or down anytime. If you request a plan change, it will take effect in the following month.
09. Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No long-term commitment. To end the engagement, you give us 30 days' notice. You're billed for those final 30 days, but there are no termination fees and no penalty. After that, you're done.
10. How does billing work?
Monthly subscription billed on the 1st (first month is prorated to your start date). We accept ACH and all major credit cards. We charge $40/hr and have no startup fees, overtime fees, or annual increases.
11. How much time do I need to invest in setup and onboarding?
Onboarding is light. Your assistant will meet with you as often as makes sense in the first week or two to set up tools, learn your preferences, and build momentum. After that, you and your assistant find a rhythm that works for you both. Our team checks in along the way to make sure things are going well.
12. Who are your assistants?
Our assistants are college-educated, U.S.-based professionals with experience supporting executives, entrepreneurs, and small teams. Every assistant is rigorously vetted, interviewed, and continuously trained.
13. What types of tasks can an executive assistant handle?
From managing your inbox and calendar to bookkeeping, reporting, marketing coordination, and CRM management. Your assistant can handle the details that keep you from the high-level work only you can do. Looking for something unique or specific? Contact us, and we’ll help you find the right person.
14. What makes Assist’s process different from typical executive assistant services?
Most agencies assign you an assistant. We don't. You always pick who you interview — either by browsing our roster directly (Quick Match) or by reviewing a curated short list we put together (Assisted Match). Either path, you stay in control of who you work with.
15. How do I know what to delegate first?
We'll guide you through it. Most people aren't sure what to delegate at first — that's normal. Your assistant will spend the first week or two understanding your work and helping you spot the things that drain you most. The conversation starts in the interview and continues from there.
16. What kind of leader benefits most from an executive assistant?
Leaders who are ready to grow but stuck in the weeds. Whether you’re scaling a business, running operations, or managing multiple priorities, an assistant helps you focus on the work only you can do.
17. Do I have to be experienced in managing someone remotely?
Not at all. We design the process to be easy for first-timers. You’ll get support on communication tools, delegation best practices, and how to build a smooth rhythm with your assistant from day one.
